Last updated: June 1, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how KibbleGrade ("KibbleGrade", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the KibbleGrade mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1 Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information so the App can create your account, store your scans, and analyze pet food.
Account information
- Your email address when you register with email, or the email address and basic profile identifier provided by Google when you use Google Sign-In.
- Authentication credentials needed to keep you securely signed in.
Information you provide in the App
- Pet profiles — details you enter about your pet, such as name, type/breed, age, weight, and any allergies or dietary sensitivities.
- Scan history — records of the pet foods you have scanned, including the resulting grade and analysis.
- Photos you upload — images of pet food labels or packaging that you submit for analysis.
Information collected automatically
- Diagnostic and crash data — when the App encounters an error or crash, technical information (such as device type, operating system version, app version, and error/stack-trace details) is collected to help us diagnose and fix problems. This is handled through Sentry.
2 How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
- To analyze pet food labels and ingredients and generate quality grades.
- To save and display your pet profiles and scan history across your sessions.
- To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App's stability and performance.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the service.
3 Third-Party Services We Use
KibbleGrade relies on the following third-party service providers ("processors") to operate. These providers process data only to provide their services to us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

When you submit a photo for analysis, the image is sent to Google Cloud Vision to detect and read the text on the label. We use the extracted information to grade the product.
Analytics & cookies. Our marketing website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without collecting personal or cross-site tracking data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on our website.
4 How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. We share information only:
- With the service providers listed above, solely so they can perform services for us;
- If required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of KibbleGrade, our users, or the public;
- In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.
5 Data Retention
We retain your account information, pet profiles, scan history, and uploaded photos for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.
6 Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can:
- Edit or remove pet profiles and individual scans directly within the App;
- Request access to or a copy of your data;
- Delete your account and associated data (see below).
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the App under Profile/Settings → Delete Account, or by visiting our account deletion page. You may also email the KibbleGrade team to request removal. Upon verification, we will delete your account information, pet profiles, scan history, and uploaded photos.
7 Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls provided by our hosting and infrastructure providers, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8 Children's Privacy
KibbleGrade is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9 International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including by our service providers. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App.
